i say someone come up with convincing evidence that says that an engine driven hard from it being new had a part in engine life or failure. i think its good to wail on it and then change the oil at around 1 thousand miles. then continue to drive it hard to 3 k. then change it and run synthetic every 5k for the rest of the engine.

With a turbo you see more of the power unlike a charger. Plus u have that power almost all the time when a charger doesn't hit the power until later on in the RPM range. I'd do a turbo over a supercharger if i was going to do forced induction.

.... NOT!! BOOST 101: Boost is boost no matter where it comes from, a turbo will produce more HP because it's relatively free boost by coming from exhaust rather than a drive pulley which robs some of the engine power to spin it. It also has no limitation on RPM's and can boost like mad when it really going. It produces more high RPM HP because it takes exhaust to spin the turbo, more exhaust = more spin etc. Thus the term Turbo lag.
Blowers on the other hand have instant boost due to being driven by a drive belt off of the crank pulley system. They provide Better low RPM power than a turbo and strong mid-top range HP. They are limited to the engines RPM. Boost is controlled by size of the unit (in litres) and Pulley size.
