hydraulic ROLLER cams don't need the 'cam break in' procedure.
All flat tappet cams, hydraulic or not, need to be broken in.

Well they do need to be broken in but not in the sense of breaking it in so that it goes through different heat cycles. Look I got the info from comp cams myself. If you don't believe me then call them.

I don't care who you got it from, anyone that told you a flat tappet cam doesn't require break in is wrong; end of discussion.

Ya know, about 1/3rd of the posts on this thread actually respond to the question at hand. That can be pretty annoying.

And yes, all flat tappet cams need to be broken in.
