Brighter Headlights

I have a 1991 Mustang LX 5.0 convertible. My factory headlights are nice and clear (no yellowing) and about 2 years ago I put in Sylvania bulbs. They claim they are 20% brighter than factory, which is probably correct.

Is there a brighter bulb I could go with? I do not want to do a conversion.

Which Sylvania bulbs did you go with? They have the Silverstars, Ultras, and the Xtravisions.

I used the Sylvania Xtravision. They have been around for years. I have used them in all my cars.

Just hopeing there might be something brighter.

well the silverstars are brighter than the xtravision and the silverstar ultras are even a step above that

Bulbs dim as they age, so two year old bulbs might be dimmer than they were when new

Clear headlamp lenses and upgraded wiring harness with relays might increase light output

Buy or build a relay conversion harness; I made a relay harness and my lights are definitely brighter than stock. Use some Silverstar ultras and its the closest thing you can get to HID's.
