Jebus it was pretty easy to reverse the mileage *won't say how to do it*. the car has 190,000km on it - cluster now reads ZERO. Just looks like I bought a new cluster. Also cleaned up the white roller (which was all yellow and dirty). My cluster looks BRAND NEW. Also polished the plastic lense and cleaned up all the needles. Little details go a long way.
Now since I have autometer guages for oil and temp, I feel like modding the cluster (don't worry I have spare parts - I can revert back to stock). I'd like to remove the stock gauges. I'd have only the RPM, speedo, and fuel level on there. I don't like double gauges and I like the "came from factory this way" look.
Not sure if this is a good idea or not. I did it to my previous Mustang and it turned out okay. Eventually I want to free my HVAC vents for a boost, air/fuel and fuel press gauges (once I go boosted) and put a custom made cluster to replace the factory junk.
