Broken antenna

I broke off the antenna where it goes screwed in. The threaded male end of the antenna remains in the female end on the fender. I tried massive amounts of WD40 and needle-nose pliers to try and get it out with no success.

Anyone have any ideas on what can be done? Radio is static now

Easy out maybe.
Do you have a welder? I have been known to tack a piece of scrap or a small bolt to the end of a broken off bolt and then use the head of the bolt to turn it out. How far down is it? You could take a cut off wheel and cut a slot on it and use a flat head screwdriver. WD40 works great on some things but I would use PB blaster when I need it to wick into threads. Got a pic of the situation? Sounds silly but options change depending on how far down it broke off.

Got it out with a $2 screw extractor bit and a full night of PB Blaster soaking. It couldn't have been any easier. Just ordered a shorty antenna from AM

Out of curiosity, how did it get broken?

I am constantly taking mine off to put the cover on, and would like to know what to avoid.

I over-tightened it and it snapped off. My antenna got a little loose every so often and I would have to hand-tighten it. I decided enough was enough and took a pair of pliers to it.
