i have the chance to buy an 89 gt convert for a very good price,it runs good looks ok but the only problem is the lower left rear control arm mounting point is broken.how much would it cost to repair.i've posted some pics,all opinions would be welcome.

Thats not a broken control arm bro. Thats a busted torque box. Its a pretty easy fix actually. You just have to remove the bracket there and reweld it back on, then your gonna have to get reiforcements sold at any mustang parts website (around 100 bucks) and weld them on all the rest of em. I say buy it.

some people may say different but ive seen that before. Just take it to one of your buddy mechanics that is a good welder and he will take care of it. Doesmnt appear to be any more than a 2 hour job or less. Hell I pulled my hole rear axle assembly twice since christmas cause i wasnt happy with stuff. Takes me less than 2 hours to pull the whole axle. For the work involved with yours the axle stays put.

also Ill bet the rest of your boxes are probably cracked so u might want to throw a few welds on them as well
