Broken EGR Vacuum Line

Hey guys,
While I was replacing my PCV filter and grommet today I accidentally snapped that khaki colored vacuum line that runs off the EGR valve to the little vacuum tree on the passenger side fenderwell. I patched it together with some electrical tape. I don't imagine this is anything I need to be particularly worried about, but I just thought I'd ask if I need to replace it. Thanks!

Replace the line with some hose from the auto parts store. A non-functioning EGR can hurt fuel economy & cause the engine to ping at part thottle.
