same exact bolt for me too, but it happened with the motor on a stand. Drilled the bolt out with the head still bolted on. After I got everything in, and the motor in the car, found the threads were now too loose to grab.

Easy way out? You can get a nut right under the head, that hole goes all the way through the head. Get a longer bolt, put a nut under it and call it a day.

Maybe I'm missing something but how do you hold the nut in place with the intake installed?

That particular bolt goes on the very corner of the cylinder head. the cylinder head hangs over the block in tha particular spot. the bolt goes all the way through the intake, all the way through the cylinder head, and exits on the bottom of the head just to the left of the thermostat housing. Stick the nut on the bottom of the head right there and shove the bolt all the way through and torque.

some of the worst problems are solved by pure last minute desperation . It's IMPOSSIBLE to see the nut anyhow. you may have to pull the tstat housing to get to it

Cover everything up as suggested and wear safety goggles. then you can go back and try to re-drill with a larger bit and try and re-use the same extractor you broke, this time it will be at a thicker (stronger) part. it may pull it out or you can totally drill out what's left and try the nut on the bottom thing (with thread lock) or drill it bigger still and tap and helicoil it.
