Ok, i finally got my 69 up and going. I noticedi was leaking coolant from thermostat housing unit. When i was taking off the top left bolt, the bolt head broke off. Any trick tricks and getting the rest off the bolt out, and the bolt is flush with the bolt hole.

And does anyone knoe where i can get a replacement resevior tank.

Oops, you can take a dremel and try and cut a slot in the bolt, then use PB Blaster or a propane torch and a candle to get some wax wicked into the threads. Otherwise, you can drill a hole in it and use a reverse twist drill bit to back it out.

Get a torch and heat the sucker up. I would use a mapp torch if it is an iron manifold or if it's aluminum you might be able to use propane. Aluminum conducts heat really well so it wouldn't take long. Aluminum also doesn't glow redhot the way steel does. For aluminum I would heat for 10-20 seconds and then try and repeat until it's loose. The heat will loosen it up and then it should come out really easy. Latch onto it with a vice grips and twist it out.

Put some anti-seize on the bolts before reassembly

Don't screw around with easy outs. They just seem to snap off and then you've got a real mess. That hardened steel from the easy out is a nightmare to drill through.

But he said it's flush with the surface, what are you going to grab onto?
