Ok, put your feet into my shoes. You have 1 grand roughly to build up a completely stock 302 (aside from holley 4bbl 600cfm carb). You want it streetable, durable and easy to build up... but most importantly under 1 grand. Thats the situation im facing. I have all these diffrent ideas on what i would like to do but my maxium budget is 1 grand. Any suggestions? Links to the items you display would be wonderful.

What you are suggesting is nothing more than an engine "freshen up" job and that is OK. It is going to cost you about a grand if you deliver the engine to the shop and they do the normal machine work, plus new bearings, oil pump, springs, valves, etc.

When done you will have a much better mill.

Does the short block need rebuilding? What heads are on it now? What pistons are in the block, dished or flattops? What year is the short block? We can't really give you recommendations on something, when these factors are unknowns. Not all 302's were the same.

Exactly. Are you wanting the 302 completely rebuilt or are you looking to just bolt on some performance goodies?
