A few months ago I priced a TFS top end kit and then the supporting mods I'd need and for everything new was right at $4k. I would need a TB, 24 lbs. injectors, fuel pump, regulator, tube for my C&L, lifters, long tubes and a X-pipe. Then I'd have to pay for a tune.

The TFS top end kit doesn't include lifters, the Ford Racing units are under $130 and work just great.

Here is the list of parts I'd plan to use with the top end kit...

Ford Racing Lifters
Waterpump
70mm TB, I like Accufab, Holley and Wilson
MAF (see note below)
24# inj
190lph-255lph fuel pump and new fuel filter
1-5/8" headers, shorties
X-pipe ( I see your in VA so if you need to pass emissons you may want to consider a high flow cat pipe or youll be swapping the offroad pipe out)
Good quality cat back
AFM Power Pipe or another high flow intake pipe set-up
spark plugs
spark plug wires
new cap and rotor

If your planning on boost down the road, try to decide Turbo or Supercharger. If Supercharger I'd get the PMAS 95mm meter, if turbo get the 75mm bullet and upgrade to a blowthrough meter when you swap the turbo on). Save for the aftermarket block and then add the power adder ;)

I'm just going to keep on saving :D. I have nothing else to put my money into right now any way. I should be able to afford everything by late spring. Thanks for all the awesome input everybody. I think I'm going to go with the top end kit, and then later on I'll get a good short block, throw everything onto it, and go with a supercharger. I'll be back with all of the questions that go with that later though!
