General Building a Boss motor

Has anyone built their own Boss motor? I'm thinking about doing a Boss or a Stroker build. Strokers seems to be a little salty in the pockets.
How would you rate a Stroker to a Boss build? I've done research on both. It seems like my hardest part is finding heads.
