So, I'm about ready to assemble my shortblock.. and I'm looking at cylinder head options.. Here's what I have so far..

03 Cobra bare block with ~ 15K miles..
03 Cobra 8 bolt forged crank
Manley H-beam rods/arp 2000's
Probe -18cc dish pistons (2618 alloy)
ARP head studs
ARP main studs
Houston Performance S292 blower cams
Comp springs/retainers
Felpro MLS gaskets
ACL race bearings
Ported Typhoon intake manifold
C&L upper with 75mm BBK TB

Novi 2000 head unit/bracket
Custom front mount intercooler setup with 3" piping
Tial blow off valve
8 rib setup
Blow through 90mm L-maf and MPH Maf extender
SCT racer software and handheld tuner
680cc Mototron injectors
Steeda fuel rails
Cobra fuel canister with twin Ford GT pumps
Twin -6an fuel feed lines
AEM Uego wideband o2 monitor

The rest of the drivetrain/chassis consists of..

Viper-Spec T56
Aluminum flywheel with ARP bolts
Spec 4 puck with sprung hub and heavy duty pressure plate
Custom aluminum driveshaft
8.8 rear end with welded axle tubes, Eaton posi and Moser axles
Lakewood 50/50's out back
Steeda upper/lower control arms
Roush springs
KYB GR2's up front
Battle Boxes welded in.. all seams welded up on the torque boxes
Transmission mounts seam welded to prevent tearing
Subframe connectors welded in place

I'm looking to make around 600-650whp.. I have a set of PI Romeo heads in good condition. What's the best option to have hand or CNC port work done to my existing heads? I have the Houston Performance S292's and comp springs/retainers already.. so, I really just need port work and maybe a set of valves/guides/seals. I don't plan on going over 6800rpm or so..

Also, I've heard stories about oil pumps exploding in the 2 valve motors.. what are my options for a good oil pump?

If you guys see anything that I'm missing.. let me know.. I'm pretty adept at building/fabricating.. but, I work primarily with Nissans.. Any pointers/tricks would be greatly appreciated. Thanks..

Get a Cobra Hi Volume oil Pump, it is a direct bolt on for our cars. You can also get billet oil pump gears from numerous places, ie. VT, Sean Hyland, DSS to help the longevity of the pump. I just used a stock cobra hi volume pump and have never had any starvation issues. Also make sure you have a 12point 12mm deep socket to attach the oil pickup to the 4th main cap. It is an odd ball socket and is a real pain to find. You can't torque the main cap bolts on the 4th main without it.
