I am basically pretty clueless on this stuff. Just got my Black 00 GT Vert a few months ago and just starting to play with it. Loving every sec' so far!

Getting the Black Bullitts 18x9 and 18x10s. No clue as to what tires I need. No drag racing and no snow plus treadlife is important. Want to avoid rubbing and handling problems (obviously). And yes, I would like to lower it soon. Taking that into account, recommendations on tire sizes?

tires

I have a 96 GT vert and I spent a lot of time over what to but. I ended up with 18x9 chrome bullits and nitto 285/30's. The combination came from tire warehouse. The service and products were great. The cars look is fanatastic. The ride is good.

correction

Just a follow-up . Never answer e-mails before coffee. The tire size is 275/35 nitto extremes. Don't ask me what I was thinking. Anyway . Good tire , mean look and so far no issues

I'm running 265/35/18 and 285/35/18 Nitto NT555s and I love them. They've been great tires so far. Grip is excellent in wet or dry and they seem to be wearing very well... I've got about 6-7k on them now and they look new. Will be ~25k mile tires and probably more if I run them bald. The ONLY thing odd I've noticed about them is they hum rather loudly when coming to a stop. Other than that the ride is excellent for a low profile performance tire.

Paid $1400 for the set with 100% free replacement from Discount tire. Glad I got the free replacement too because within 2 weeks I had a nail in the corner of the tread on one of my rears. Saved me about $200...

I think the perfect set-up is 265/35's front and 295/35's rear. Pics in sig......

Love the look Firemanz - can't go with side exhaust though, I'm afraid I'll choke to death at a stoplight with the top down.

So everyone is saying Nittos?

Depending on your rim size u can go anywhere from 245s to 315s. I have 245s front and 315s rear. The back rims are 17x10.5. Your backs can fit 315s snugley. Your fronts can fit 275s i believe. In 18s, the back tires are gonna run you about 250-260 each, fronts will be about 200
