*Note: The mufflers are BULLITTS, from the Mustang Bullitt, not the Dynomax Bullet*

Can anyone tell me how different the tone is compared to the stock GT mufflers? I know they should sound a little bit louder but do you guys think itll be worth it to swap in a set of Bullitt mufflers to my car? I may be picking up a set since some guy is selling them locally cheap. As far as exhaust, I have a Mac o/r H-pipe. I want something thatll wake up in higher rpms but will stay sort of quiet, yet noticeable, in lower rpms.

Any help? I know you guys are tired of reading about exhaust questions ;)

The Dynomax Bullit mufflers will definately wake up your car at higher rpms! These are about as straight-through of a design as it gets. Although, people claim them to be screaming loud any any rpm but I beg to differ in my personal experience with them. Last year at the dragstrip I looked underneath a wildly modified Pro-5.0 fox body Mustang sporting the bullits. The car was quiet at idle and cruising the staging lanes. I put them on my Firebird which had a Mac offroad y-pipe with the same results.... smooth at idle (just a tad rough but not bad sounding) and mean and deep anywhere past 3krpm. But it could be different on our modular motors... i dunno...

i have a set that i am willing to sell. they came off my bullitt. They are louder then stock set ups, and they are deeper and louder at idle, but not at all obnoxious. they are very nice, but i wanted louder so i went with my 'packs. i also have the full set up from the H back (the full aftercat) but it was welded apart before the mufflers to get it out without having to drop the rearend. However if anyone is interested in the mufflers, make an offer and i might sell.

I am thinking of buying a set from a local guy so Im just wondering if its worth it.

So it is noticeably louder right? I may just dump the exhaust. It will give me a nicer tone compared to the stock mufflers right?

I may want a louder exhaust later but by then Ill have money to get a full 2.75-3" catback. :)
