I am interested as well.

Supposedly the bullitt springs are slightly lower than the mach 1 springs due to ford raising their ride height requirements.

I was considering installing the entire bullitt shock/spring package in my '03 but want to see pics of the ride height first

i love it. it's better in every way. well, except maybe a very slight loss in traction during a hard launch.

no more nose dive, no more 4X4 look, no more massive body roll in corners, and the ride isn't bouncy anymore.

i have it. installed it in my driveway. for the price, theres no way you can beat it. however, the drop is nothing big. 3/4" is about the max you'll get i think. i noticed less body roll, not really much difference in how the car handles potholes, etc.

this doesn't quite do it justice, but i think it's the best pic i've got at the moment. i got a 1 1/8" drop. just about what it should be from the factory. if you are looking for the slammed look, you won't find it here.

I went with it also. I purchased it from GEFRacing. I also changed out the Bullitt springs with a set of "C" springs. I just changed to the Strange struts and shocks about 3 months ago though.

No, i definitely don't want it slammed, but i want something lower than stock.

Too many potholes here in MA to go to low. That's why i'm looking at the bullitt kit. It's matched, lower but not slammed and something used from the factory so it will still ride nice

its around $400. spring, shocks, struts, and anti-roll bars. i got mine from gefracing.com

i think you will like the Bullit suspension then. it's a great all around suspension. that's why i chose it. you will feel bumps a little firmer than stock, but it's better than the bouncyness of stock imo. other than the supercharger, no other mod has changed the feel of my car more.

nice , sounds like a good option for suspension i guess it will be a good route for me, i do have a bit of rough road here in connecticut so it sounds like a good setup..thanks a lot guys....if anyone else would like to post more about this setup feel free

Its a nice little bang for your buck suspension upgrade. The springs go from the stock 450 lbs. compression front, and 210 lbs. compression rear, to 600 front, and 250 rear. The drop as has been mentioned is .75". I still bottom my cats out on my magnaflow X pipe so I'm glad I didn't go any lower. I wish I had bilstein rear shocks but the tokicos aren't too bad.. Good improvement over stock, but you still need to get subframes and upper/lower control arms to have a "contender" setup.

Mach 1 vs. Bullitt kit?

gferacing also has a mach1 kit, which looks like the bullitt kit minus the sway bars. Is that the only difference, or are they different springs / shocks? If so, are the sway bars worth the $100 more that the bullitt kit costs?

I think the sway bars are a big part of the reduction in body roll that I felt after installing the kit, but since it was all installed at the same time there is no way of knowing for sure. Not sure about the differences between the bullitt and mach 1.

IMHO - the bullit or mach 1 suspensions as upgrades over GT suspensions are just a cheap way of doing things

If all you care about is ride height then go ahead, but if you are actually interested in having a car that handles well I would highly recommend going with a better quality suspension kit (Steeda, MM, Kenne Brown, etc.)

Not low enough for me. I went with Eibach Prokit springs and Mach 1 struts and shocks with steeda CC plates.

The stang is my daily for now. When I get another daily, I'm going lower (sportlines or HRS)
