Bumper Stripping

I just picked up a great set of used bumpers from a swap meet. The stripping
is white instead of the red on my originals. It looks like there is a heavy
black adhesive holding the stipping on. Anyone know a way to get the stripped molding off in one piece so I can transfer it to the new bumpers.

The moulding should just peel off unless they were reglued using a strong adhesive. Over time the moulding shrinks and doesn't fit the bumper very well.

You may be able to find new moulding strips from one of the MII parts vendors.

Just start at one end and pull slowly and carefully.
