u prolly just chose the wrong spark plug wire. try another one. and it is in the same place. if u choose wrong wire, then u wont find the mark. try finding it in the day time with a lot of light, try using a flash light. shouldnt be too hard to find it. spout should be close to the distributer. (5.0 thinking here) but since u've done it on ur 5.0, then u prolly know as much as i do about the 97. goodluck

Why would you keep this up? I'm beginning to think you are here to start crap. The 4.6 timing CANNOT be adjusted with a timing light. You have to have the aftermarket adjuster. Keep trying all you want...in the end you will accomplish nothing without an adjuster.HpMan said:
