Bumpsteer Problem

Ok so i just went to get my car aligned and have my bumpsteer kit put it, only part i didnt put on myself, and the guy at the shop couldnt get it put on right. He said that with it on he simply could not align it right. he said that he couldn't get it on the tie-rod far enough i geuss? I dont need to replace my tierods do i? because i thought that they would just bolt on and i could get an alignment and that would be it, but i kinda hit a bump in the road here, and im lookin for help guys! Thanks

I guess if the Tie Rod End wont thread on far enough you can cut some of it off and it would allow it to go on further.

Thats exactly what i thought of at first but i want to do it the right way, and there has to be a right way to get around this problem. Has this happened to anyone else, and if so how did you get around it?

Not that TV Shows are always correct, but on 2 Guys Garage Sam had the exact same problem on his old Street Rod Pick Up and he corrected it by cutting the material off.

( I am the alignment guy at work) I would have took the outer tie rod off the inner and ran a thread die down and then cut some off the end of the inner tie rod shaft. Then backed the die off to repair the threads then spun the die back on all the way and off again...just makes it easier to do it that way instead of trying to start a die on a cut rod. spin the outer rod back on and tried the alignment again. and repeat if needed

*EDIT* I have never ran into this problem but That was just what I thought of if I was to run into that sorta problem. I just thought "what would I do if I was trying to align this car"
