Well, yesterday I put my car on ramps to put in fogs. I can't get under the damn thing anymore with the damn chin!

ANyway, I let my friend ramp it up so I could make sure the chin didn't catch the ramps. I had him go REALLY slow and well....he burned the CRAP outta my clutch. I was like OMG!! OMG!!! Smoke coming from under the hood and he just looked at me like

amnit: crapola

Well it's today and I took the car out for the first time since and the clutch smells like crapola

How long is this crap gunna last? RIght now I have it outside with the hood open and windows down.

shouldnt last that long. make sure everything still engages properly and doesnt slip.

how the hell did he manage to burn the clutch? the clutch on my car is the easiest clutch to engage/feel ive ever used.

It seems to engage fine. By slip, what exactly do you mean? I was able to drive around just fine today.

He burned it because he kept the e-brake on the whole time while climbing the ramps. *sigh* Last time anyone drives my car...

At least he got it up safely. Ramps can be rather tricky at times and HATE driving up them feeling like any second i could go over the edge lol
Your clutch should be fine but next time have a friend watch the front and YOU drive...$75 chin spoiler OR $400 for a clutch and labor?

True, but try $75 + $100 to have it painted.

should be ok with some driving

he just glazed it over, which will take a little time to wear off. dont try to do any 3rd/4th gear pulls for a while, cause you could glaze it to the point of where itll never grab(as i did with my stock eclipse gst's clutch)
