Hey guys,
I'm in the process of bringing my 66 sprint convertible back up to good mechanical status so I can insure her for the summer. Took her to get the tranny rebuilt the beginning of the week and all went well with that. When I went there to pay for the work I was informed by the guys who did the work that they found that i'm only running on 5 cylinders (I have the inline 6, 200 cubic inch motor), and that I possibly have a burnt valve. I'm not too fond mechanically speaking, so after asking how much that would cost to replace one of the guys there told me it'd be better off putting a new motor in the car instead of paying the labor to fix it. Any thoughts or suggestions?
