bushings

a friend and i took a look at my car after having a problem with the tranny fluid and we also determined i needed to replace the bushings on my '93 lx 4 banger. any suggestings?? any tips?? thanks much for any help you can give.

Well, it would probably help to first tell us which bushings need replaced

i would just get a complete bushing kit from 50resto.com... after 10+ years it all gets old and cracked and worn out anyways...

it comes with:

-Front and rear control arm bushing sets
-Transmission crossmember bushings
-Coil spring isolaters
-Steering rack bushings
-Strut mount bushings
-Sway ber end links
-Tie rod boots
-Transmission mount(when specified)

a simple way to get the old rubber ones out is to use a torch and burn them out rather than messing with pushing them out... dont worry about the "v8 transmission" option as both the 2.3 and 5.0 had T5's and the mounts are the same...

your car will feel and ride like brand new... and while you're at it... you could toss some new shocks on there too!
