I was watching the news and they had a sound byte of one of the local leaders saying that they were going to try to arrest Bush for war crimes. I realize that the average Canadian may not like Bush and that this lady was probably an extremeist, but I cannot imagine how bad the situation would get if Canada arrested our president. Wow, that would be bad, strangely I do not believe that we would allow him to stay in jail.

I'll arrest him myself :owned:

Murderer !!

Just kidding here..I dont wanna get into all this political bs. All I know is that the fu**** will be in town and because of him, lots of streets are gonna be closed and that lots of people are gonna be late for work and COLLEGE. High security and everything. I'll have to make my way in...

it will be neat to see what happens when he drops by Halifax on Wensday of this week. Scott are you gonna take part?

Nah, it will be too packed in halifax to get around there. Plus im far enough away if **** goes down that i dont get bombed! lol

I agree..what the hell was up with that. I dont care if you like the guy or not, show a little respect and Class.

I think some people like to protest just cause they can. Stupid stupid stupid!

Should be interesting to see what happens tomorrow in Halifax. Hopefully we dont make fools outta ourselves!

It's okay to protest something that's part of free speech but, how does it make sense that these people show up to protest the Iraq war and Bush then end up fighting with CANADIAN police? Unfortunatley these people were representing Canada to the world and American media and we looked like Asses...What a way to represent :nonono: :notnice:

Wow, I am going express some of my own opinions here:
1: First this is not the forum for this type of a discussion and link should be removed.
2: Some may not like Bush but the US public support him, this is his second term, regardless of the leader and where they may be from lots of folks will have issues with policies, the person and the leadership.
3: Observation from having watched the news coverage, the trouble makers always, always have to be some rowdy looking, unemployed looking, young activist (look like the group of supposed homeless who occupied the lawn at city hall in Ottawa this summer). I for one have a job and don’t and would not take the time to be involved in this type of a protest.
4: Often these protestors are from counties other than MY COUNTRY but they insist on protesting in my country for some cause that originates from where they come from. If they want to protest go to where you originate from (your home) and protest. I for one have enough problems of my own to worry or take actions with your issues, causes or problems.
5: Watching the march to the hill I noticed several people pushing babies in carriages and people in wheelchairs, my question is who in their right mind would subject babies and handicapped persons to the risk of a march that could go wrong (more potential brain surgeons, I guess).
6: GET a freaking life!
Sorry this is my jaded view and I really hope the moderator terminates this entire posting, this is supposed to be a Mustang Lovers site!

So TRUE :nice:

Exactly..alot of people just go out to protest cause they wanna see what happens, or for "something to do". Stupid really!

Either way, things went down well in Halifax today. There was some small protesters but nothing like what was in Ottawa.

Good speaches by both parties, with a few jokes by bush.

well unfortunatly this is a talk section of a mustang site.

I can tell you believe it or not americans like canadians and for the most part canadians like americans. we do not have the longest unguarded border in the world for a reason

Ya but most average Canadians don't get media attention to show that. It's only the few idiots that make the news and maybe affect the overall image of Canadians to Americans. The funny thing is that a lot of people are critics about what the "Americans" are doing but with out you guys our economy and standard of living would be a helluva lot different .

I think they got the attention they deservered yesterday when the President told the world how we opened our homes for thousands of Americans on 9/11. I really don't see a difference between us other than the border. we are two huge democracys living side by side in peace. It don't get any better than that.

If you don't beleive me, ask Prime Minister Poutine :rlaugh:
