going to school this morning and wasn't doing anything out of the ordinary. i was behind 3 other cars and i saw them swerve but didn't realize till it was to late. me and 2 or 3 or cars ran over a cylinder head in the road and i busted 2 tires and broke 2 rims. this is my dads car so i felt extra bad about it. i called the dealer to price rims. 550 bucks for one rim. there goes my mods for a couple of months.

Yeah man, I'd hate to say it but this sounds like a classic case of a dealership RIPPING YOU OFF!

I would do anything than buy off of them.
Hell I'd build a rim before going there.

The only thing a dealership is good for is a warranty, and even then they still suck.

That's what I was wondering? That would suck to loose that while driving down the street

You should have got a police report. That is considered a crash and insurance will cover it. Of course you'd have to pay the deductible.

I've seen new chrome zr1's on ebay for $800 and that includes tires. I think it's AFS that makes them.

Yea debris is real bad around here. We got you run of the mill cylinder heads and pistons too. But sometimes you'll see a crankshaft or a transmission laying in the road.

That's crazy. I didn't pay much more than that for 4 new wheels from TireRack - for what they want for 1 crappy factory wheel. Definitely look at an aftermarket set. You could even buy him up a step or two and still be well below the $1100 you be in at the dealer. Hell, you could do 4 new wheels and 4 new tires for that price.
