Its no longer at ebay, but just let me know. For $6 its a great tool to help choose a turbo. Here is my description

For sale is an Excel file I created with the proper techniques for choosing a suitable turbocharger for most piston engine combinations. It has taken me a great deal of time to make this, and user friendly at that. I have allowed for many values to be filled in by the user, and all are filled in with preselected criteria in order to assist the user in choosing the proper numbers for the calculations.

This spreadsheet takes into account various things, such as engine VE, intake manifold temperature, brake specific fuel consumption, intercooler pressure drop, and inlet depression. The calculator needs engine size inputted as cubic inches, so there is a conversion table for cubic centimeters to cubic inches. These are all explained in the file if you are unsure of some terms. The final values that are solved for allow in choosing a turbo with the best compressor map for the given combination. It gives you air mass flows in lbs/min, along with kg/sec, cubic meters/sec, and CFM, all of which are used in different maps, and the pressure ratio to support the estimated horsepower level. It also calculates the size of the injectors, based on the number of cylinders, at an 85% max duty cycle. In the fuel department, I have a calculator for fuel injector flow rates at different fuel pressures, as well as a cc/min to lbs/hr converter.

The turbo calculator is the answer to my problem of choosing a turbo. I was sick of calculating by hand the different possibilities that can be had in a turbocharger system, and listening to others tell me what I can and could not use. Most every turbo out there, stock or aftermarket, has available compressor maps, which by using this file, promotes a very good idea of how the engine will take to its addition. I personally feel, that by using this program, you can really gain an insight to the development that goes into properly choosing a turbocharger. On top of that, it is fun to use to see how custom tuning of your fuel injection system can result in phenomenal hp and torque increases, either through aftermarket tuners or standalone systems.

I have provided an easy to use calculator that will assist in the proper choosing of a turbocharger(s), with many additional conversions, rarely found in the same place, for easy access. Please feel free to ask a question, as I do realize this is a rare type of product being sold.

Thanks everyone. Mike
