So I decided to buy the Mach 1 front brake kit from buyfordracing.com. About six months ago I moved from one town to another here in Iowa about 30 minutes apart. I kept my old bank account open since I have a loan at my old bank, but I never bothered to give them my new address. I get an email from buyfordracing.com saying they cancelled my order due to my shipping address not matching the address my bank has on file with my card! At first I was kinda bummed, but then I realized I kinda wanted the red powdercoated 10th ann. brakes anyway! So I updated my info with the bank and placed a second order! I thought it was cool of a company to cancel an order instead of letting some bum with my stolen credit card rack it up and ship where ever he wanted! I think a lot of other companies would have just let it slip, cause I have used this same card with jegs and summit several times since I moved...

they did that because if someone else used the card and you fought the charges they could get the shaft, not because they care about you.

I didnt say they care about me, but that shows just how much less jegs and summit care about me!

*Lol, this thread is brought to us by jegs...

Yeah, I believe technically if you accept credit cards it is in the policy that you can only shipped to the address on the card.

Bought my brake kit from them and I was happy with their service. I bought a set of banjo bolts to go with it, but they went ahead deleted that from the order since the kit came with banjo bolts already. I thought that was pretty decent of them instead of selling me the bolts anyways.

x2 - I'll pay more to go somewhere else if I have to. Although Summit has always beat their prices.

Here's my experience: http://forums.stangnet.com/showthread.php?t=680239

I've definitely heard more bad than good over the years about them. I came into this thread expecting it to be a joke. I am glad that they treated you well though.

So you guys were totally right! Shows how naive I am... On friday after placing my second order I get an email saying my order is being processed. I called yesterday to see if it was shipped and no one was available to answer the phone at 2:30pm. It wasnt like it was afterhours... Then today I get an email out of the blue saying my second order was cancelled as well... WTF?!

Go buy elsewhere, no point in responding... it'll only piss you off. They have caller id and screen their calls. To get them to answer I had to use my work phone.

Run, run away!

The sad part is that you're right. It's one thing if you don't ship to another country. It's completely different however, when you insult the entire country and make poor generalizations

Speaking of poor generalizations... I responded to the email saying my order was cancelled, and was told my bank denied the charge. I called my bank to seek the truth and was told it was because they were still awaiting the first order to be fully refunded. I then emailed buyfordracing again explaining the situation and told them I would wait until the whole situation cleared the bank, and then put in a third order since it wasnt anything to get upset about. The person from buyfordracing replied to me with, "You must be over the age of 35, anyone below that age thinks the world revolves around their needs which are really only wants... If you were younger, you would have gone on complaining and blaming our company." Well, I guess I have the patience of a 35 year old while remaining the age of 24...

That's definitely their way of talking. If they can't insult you, they have to insult everyone else. I wanted to sign for my package, so I was deemed a credit card fraud.
