Does it have any mods done to it, at all? ... er, aside from the "groovy" skull shift knob?

For a stocker over 100k, $3800 seems a little steep. I'd say $3500 max, if it's totally kosher in/out ... but more like $3,000. See if a CarFax turns up anything on it, while you're at it, and check to see if the torque boxes are damaged at all before you plunk down the cash.

5.0L, LX. ps,pl,pw,pb,cc. Some performance upgrades: cold air intake, BBK long tube headers, BBK X- pipe with cats, flowmaster cat back, newer clutch (king cobra), brakes system 73mm calipers w/ drilled slotted rotors & steel braided lines. MSD ignition coil, Jegs full cooling system: Alum. rad, high temp hoses, high flow water pump, chrome water neck. Prothane trans mounts, Ford Racing lowering springs. MAC uppers and lowers.Pro 5.0 Shifter, newer shocks and struts. Very well maintained and kept. Some extras may be included (price extra).

it lists parts in the link.

ehh...the price doesn't seem TOO steep, but you can probably find a better one for that price. i'd keep an eye on it but look around some more.

edit: that's pretty high mileage with a not so good exterior for that price. i'd keep looking.

Looks to me that it's an EX-4-banger car.

Reason i say this is because it has an 85MPH speedo and cloth base model seats.

5.0 LX's in 1991 should have the GT sport model seats and a 140MPH speedo.

85MPH speedos are not OEM for a true factory 1991 5.0.

Like i said before, that plus the 4-banger cloth seats has me suspicious. Check the tach and make sure it's a 7000RPM tach and not a 6000 RPM tach.

If the speedo was changed, then the mileage could be incorrect as well

No option

in 1991, 4cyl LX's got the 85 and all V8 powered stangs got 140MPH speedos

That car should also have GT-style sport seats from the factory. It does not.

Price seems decent, but the above facts have me a little suspicious.

Carfax said it's a factory 5.0 yet it has an 85mph speedo? hmmm, that's very odd. If I were you, I'd ask ALOT of questions.

looks to me like an original 4 cylinder converted to a 5.0. Has a 85 mph speedo (why would someone downgrade?). Look at the seats. Those are 4 banger seats. (why would, AGAIN, someone downgrade

Didn't the '90+ 5.0's also have leather wrapped steering wheels?

I'd check the vin stickers on the doors under the lip of the rear hatch (next to the latch) and under the hood and see if they match.

Ask him why it has an 85MPH speedo and 4-banger seats when it should have a 140MPH and Sport seats

That looks just like a 4cyl to me. The tach appears to be out of a 5.0 as stated, but 85 speedo, and the front wheels appear to be the 4 cyl track width, not the 5.0 track width. Also the base model seats, and steering wheel. I say 4 cyl car. Toss me the vin I have a carfax for now!

get the vin. its easy to find out what engine it came with from the factory..

the speedo could of stopped working and he swapped in that cluster. the seats he could of liked better and swapped in who knows...or maybe a 4cyl conversion.
