still wouldnt trust it. Why would anyone downgrade parts to a 4 cyl. there are ways for people to beat the system.

Shoot, i didn't even see the steering wheel. It's a base model steering wheel. The V8 cars got a leather wrapped steering wheel for 90-93

Still looks like a swapped 4-banger to me. He put a V8 tach in the cluster.

DOn't go by the dash vin, look for the vin on the body panels. If those are missing, i'd be very suspicious.

well i havent seen the car i was going up tomorrow to look at it and probably bring it home but not now i dont think i'm gonna go now just try to find something else the car is in philadelphia

Or, better yet, keep on looking elsewhere instead of investigating the car to death, because it's already raising a bunch of red flags, as it is.

at least call the guy and ask why in the hell, if it is indeed a fctory 5.0, why there is numerous 4 cyl parts on it

Just ask him why it has 4-banger parts on it...like the speedo, seats and steering wheel

There are mechanical things to look for as to clues of it being a previous 4-banger as well, but too much to list here

Yeah, I wouldn't even consider buying that car.

(Although I'm not one to talk. I own a Cross dressing Capri. )
