McLaren's were supposed to be the premier car and it was thought that they were going to become something really special much the way Saleen's, etc are. It didn't pan out that way. They are 2-seaters with a fiberflass cover over where the rear seats would be. Body parts are hard to find, the leather seats come apart and the interiors are often a unique beige color. It also has CFI (much like GM's throttle body injection) if paired with an automatic. 180 whole hp. If you ditch the CFI in favor of a carb setup you will make more power and then it won't be a bad setup. You can mod them like any mustang, just remember that as an 85 it has the 7.5 rear and y-pipe exhaust (dual off headers, single cat, dual mufflers and tailpipes)
If it is clean and doesnt leak and you like it, it could be worth it.
