Ive been looking at corral at the classifieds, and a found some good deals on stuff, BUT before buying i am wondering, how do you go about paying for something that is 1000 or more, and not getting beat for your money? I mean How can you make sure they dont take ur money and run? Can you use paypal on something else than ebay....and is that safe? I basically just want to know how you go about it when buying stuff thanks

yeah, but is pay pal safe? how does that work?
well I would look at the guys feedback number on paypal... The reason i say this is because paypal will freeze his account if you have any problems.. So if he's a regular user you should be able to trust them. Any money he would ever get from anybody else would go to you till its paid off. Plus there are legal actions you could take.

If your worried about it just do a COD...

Paypal is just a glorified western Union. You pay them, they pay the other person. Its really nice though because it allows sellers to accept credit card payments (most of the time). They get a small percentage off of each transaction. 1-3% i believ, depending on if you use a credit card or checking account.

It goes along great with ebay because you can use your credit card instead of having a damn money order...

But it can be used for lots of different stuff..

You can sorta tell im an ebay junky...

Go to the post office and send a postal money order, registered mail. You don't need the return recipt.

If you do this, the seller has to sign for the envelope, then to cash the money order, they have to go to the post office and show their I.D. to confirm their identity. If they try to cheat you, they have broken federal laws. The federal government will prosecute people for mail fraud.

That is the best way I know of and it only costs about $5.00

Don't ever do COD. Once you pay the UPS guy, you could open up a box of bricks and there is nothing you could do. Always pay with a credit card even through PayPal. After the transaction, you still have 90 days to stop payment or dispute a transaction. Don't use your debit card because you don't have the same rules with it. Always use a credit card with anybody.
