okay, i've picked out a 5 speed manual premium black/black gt coupe w/ interior upgrade and appearance pkg at $500 over invoice. The dealer has offered to do my performance packs and I need to know if these prices sound high to you. all These prices include installation but not tax:

silver racing stripes $450
rear window louvers $325
sirius satellite $250
FR3 handling pack $1995
FR2 drag pack $1995
Saleen supercharger w/ 475 HP upgrade - $6900

I know about what the prices are online but I have no idea if they are screwing me on the install. Also, the drag pack comes with 4.10 gears which I love in my N/A 02 gt but I am wondering if it will be too much gear with a supercharger?

Only thing I will be adding after dealer is the bassani axle back. Also, this is just going to be my fun car and not my daily driver (keeping my 02 gt for that).

Input/suggestions/advice please!!

Do those prices include the installation? If so, sounds like a decent price. I had a local shop quote about $5500 for an install on a procharger.

Although I can't comment on the cost of the mods you're proposing, it seems that at this stage of the 2007 model year you should be able to get the car at invoice vice $500 over.

Prices sound reasonable with installation included. if you do all that, you will have one heck of a machine.

$11,915 + any installation if applicable
Plus cost of car, which I would assume is around 27k - 28, you got yourself a

$39,000.00+ Mustang!!!

FUDGE THAT!

Buy a Shelby, while the Shelby sucks ass for what you pay, it's a far better deal than what you are doing, you just don't get the SC.

Then again, if you are spending that much money, try and find a Roush stage 3. Only one of them on ebay has any bids, my point being, if you wait and shop around, you may score a sweet deal on a Roush, which beats the GT500 with a warranty. Plus, the 07's will be replaced by the 08's late summer, there is no point in buying now.

My guess is that if you are agreeing to all those profitable mods from the dealer, you should damn well be able to get the car UNDER invoice! (They give people $500 over invoice prices all day long w/o all of the upsell stuff.)

Well, I decided to turn down the deal after he recanted and informed me the supercharger would void the engine and powertrain warranty. Screw that.

I don't care about the shelby gt -- it's just a gt w/ shelby badges & 30 more hp ? so that's not an option. MUST have supercharger I did drive a roush stage 3 it was priced down to $44k but that's for 415hp and to be honest I was not blown away with it

the dealer did offer me their gt500 for $10k over which was $53k. I really wanted to pull the trigger but I refuse to pay that much adm. just for the principle. I changed my mind and told the salesman to call me when they were willing to sell me a gt500 for $5k over. Eventually the people willing to pay that much over are going to dwindle away. He seems to think adm's will go back up go $20k next year, but I'm sure that's part of his sales gimmick. Either way, I'm going to wait and see. I'm in no hurry since I already have a nice stang to drive.

Not sure about a drag race, but the Roush hammers the GT500 on a track. I think you should wait and see what happens. I have a feeling the Shelbys/Saleen's/Steeda's will all drop under MSRP in the next year. (Something the Shelby owners don't want to talk about) The GT500's will probably never dip under MSRP.

Will they install the Roush charger? It doesn't void the factory warranty.
