buying transgo shift kit

Im buying a transgo shift kit keeping the auto shift should i get kit with hi rev gov. valve or not it says holds shift tell 5500 rpms anybody use this kit?? do you like it thanks

I use Transgo kits in all my AODs. In my opinion they are the best. However, I don't much like the high rev gov for street use. I've used it before, and around town it wouldn't let it shift out. Normal driving at 35 mph it would hold it in 2nd gear keeping the RPMs high, which killed my gas millage and was very irritating. I currently have an AOD Dominator Jr. that has a Transgo shift kit, A+ servo, extra clutch pack, and 2500 stall converter. I have the throttle valve cable set where it shifts out a 5500 and still drives perfectly normal around town. I also have a B&M ratchet shifter I can use if I want to hold it out to 6000.

TransGo is good parts! I don't know nything about the high rev gov. If its anything like Dangerfiels says then forget it.
