OK guys, quick question. Since I have salvaged/wrecked the car, I have to start over (NEW CAR) I want to ditch the EEC and the AODE. I plan on going with my old engine minus the fuel injection, and the AODE. Now I know the basic of the cooling fan and cruise control and all the other stuff that gets modified or dumped but I have some questions. I am going with Weiand 8020 and Barry Grant Road Demon. I can get a C4 transmission with no problem, the package includes converter and other items. I wanted to know if the C4 will line up with any of the brackets on the undercarriage, and what about the driveshaft length. Do not try to talk me into keeping the AODE I hate it and do not want to tinker with shift points and the other crap that you get into. What about an AOD? I know it would fit up pretty close. Anyone ????
