bying my tri-ax tomorrow - couple Q's

I am purchasing my tri-ax shifter tomorrow. First i need to know for shure what tranny is in the 99 GT. And before purchasing it, is there anything i should know first? things i need for installation or extras not included with the shifter? anything? Thanks in advance

Also, where is the cheapest online? sofar i found sn partshopper for $161

RTV Blue Gasget maker. Parts Shopper is gonna be the cheapest. Dunno what tranny in a 99

Ditto on the rvt gasket maker. If you are putting a aluminum shift ball on it like the bullit or 35th anniversary then you need anti sieze compound. Other than that just basic metric socket set. And the 99 gt has either the t-45 or t-5 tranny . Can't remember wich one but they both take the same triax. So can't mix it up. Good luck man You will love It .

whats the anit sieze compound for? never heard of it.

the anti sieze compound keep the aluinum from oxidizing together and siezing. Hence the name. It tells you that right in the directions from steeda. So if you are using an aluninum shiftball. It will save you a trip.

Graphite can be used as such. Just go to the parts store and ask for anti-seize. They should be able to help you.
