I just bought a Paxton sl 1220. Not sure when im going to install it but I want to get everything ready for it now. Everyone is telling me I should get a bypass valve no matter how much boost im running. What do you recommend? How good are the plastic bosch ones? I will need a different discharge tube then as well? Other info on bypass valves would be appreciated, what kind your running, etc. Thanks

I'm running a Bosch from a Saab on my Merkur, which is good for 22psi. You can find them all day long in junkyards if you know what you're looking for. I usually pull mine off with the rubber hose attached and end up paying 2-3 bucks for them since nobody knows what it is in the end and they just charge me for a rubber hose.

There are several part numbers to look for, some of which are better than others. Here's some good info on them and pics of what you're looking for. What you want is a "110" which is the last 3 digits of the part number. BOSCH 110 Valve

As for hooking it up, you'll have to run it out from your charge tube (going from the blower to the throttle body) and route it back down to before the blower intake.

For the money, you pretty much can't beat them. They'll make respool time much quicker (even though with your setup/engine/psi level that shouldn't be an issue) and on turbo applications they'll make a turbo live longer and ease wear on the bearings...not sure if that applies to a blower setup but it can't hurt.

What he said. I ran one up to 17 psi and it still seemed to hold fine.
