I installed my new MC, and with the rear brake line, I'm planning to bypass the dist. block, and have the line go from MC, through Baer adjustable prop. valve, direct to rear brakes.
That will leave the rear brake ports on the distribution block open. I know that this will cause a permanent "brake failure" light in my dash, but will the fluid from the front brakes leak through the center of the distribution block and come out the open rear brake ports??
I see in the shop manual diagram that there are O-ring seals on either end of the equalizer bar in the dist. block, but I don't know if that would seal out the fluid completely. I don't want fluid leaking out, and I don't want air getting into the system thru the ports.
I'm planning to plug them, but I don't have anything to do it with right now, and I need to get everthing put back together as soon as possible so I can drive it to the alignment shop.
Short version: can I leave the ports open for now, or do I have to plug them before I fill & bleed the system?
