Hey guys.... I have a question, I am thinkin about droppin my stang a good 2 inches, and my dad was like to get Caster and Camber plates so I do not upset the geometry of the car. Anyway, my question is what exactly do I have to do? Do I just instal it and let it be, or do I have to do something once I put it on, adjustments, or anything like that. Thanks guys!!!

You're upsetting the geomoety no matter which way you look at it. C/C Plates are not going to get rid of the new V Pattern roll center

C/C Plates help alterner the new path of Toe, Caster, Camber. So you can correct it again

After you're done you get an alignment

i had c/c plates, never put em on..sold them. you can see my setup and the guy who did the install (mustang specialist speedshop), told me they are a waste of money (for a dd). he put a new camber bolt in there he said, and the car aligned perfectly. he said the camber or caster..lol..cant really remember.. would only ever go off if in a serious accident. but anyways..i made back 165 bux last night selling them and am gettin pulleys and wheel spacers instead. just my 2

2"...? You'll need them, otherwise you're going to eat your tires alive in no time. The Maximum Motorsports C/C plates are nice. That's what I have. You need them if you are going that low... period.

Actualy, I thin i have heard few people who claimed that they were able to aligned it without C/C plate. But I didn't want to take chance when I lowered mine.
275/35/18 on mine are not really cheap to take chance with:nonono:

MM 4-bolt CC plates:nice: :nice: , the CC plates will give a greater range of adjustment for Caster and Camber than stock plates do.. Some people can get away with out CCplates because everyone one of our cars are unique and sometimes maybe you can get your camber correct with out the plates..But most people find that with a drop 2 inches most people will need to add CC plates. 1.5 or less usually will not require CC plates. Besides your tire and aligment tech will alway love them..they make for very easly alignment.

dude, how do you guys keep your shock threaded bolts from rusting?

Cause I just moved from Las Vegas and it's pretty dry there. Now that I'm in Colorado we'll see. But... on snow days my pony is in a dry garage and I drive my Bronco...

never had cc plates on my 00 gt or my 99 cobra and I had lowered springs for them. but when I do springs for my 03 I think I might get them. in the past I was to cheap to do it and got lucky with tire wear, but that may not always be the case.

lol..sorry..yea 2" drops look GOOD. period. as long as the car sits level. i mean..i got supersports so that not far off..i wouldnt diss my own drop. of course unless im one of those ppl who dont research things before buying. but thats kind of hard to do when you come on this site alot..it really has helped so far make every mod ive done a good one, and do the "right" mods. really appreciate it :SNSign:
