C-Clip eliminators on 94 & up cars?

Has anyone ever installed c -clip elims on a 1994 or up mustang?

What modifications were necesary? Is it worth it? Any help/links/info would be helpful. Thanks, Jeff

It's the same as a fox rear end, so there is nothing different to worry about.

I don't know if you are insinuating that it can be done or it can't be done....

The fact of the matter is that C-clips will not work with our disc brake setup without an extraordinary amount of modification. What exactly that modification is, I don't know. My father runs a garage that occasionally gets a "high performance" job, and he built an 8.8 rear for a local mid 10-second Mustang that wanted C-clip eliminators and he said it was (and I quote), "a nightmare." I didn't bother to ask why, but I take his word for what it is.

I'm sure you could find exactly why it wouldn't work -- the only thing I'm telling you is that it won't work without extensive modification.

you have to use a tubing cutter and cut the rear axle tubes to accomodate the c clip eliminators. if its not required for your car for any kind of track use i would just leave it alone.

I think they are pointless on a car with disc brakes because the rear caliper will keep the axle in place.

I installed C-Clip eliminators and 33spline axles on my car and nothing dealing with the brakes was involved. I have the stock disc brakes still installed you do have to cut the the Axle shaft. but as far as the brakes are concern they bolt right up.

By axle shaft do you mean the housing. Thanks for the pics...Do you have any more detailed instructions or where to cut. Mr car is peglegging bad...it would only launch on one tire and unload the suspension really quick...I could only manage high 1.6X 60". Thanks for your help, Jeff

Yes I meant Housing. If I am not mistaken we cut a 1/4 in off the end of the housing so the clips could fit. The brakes just go back the same way. I wrote this last night drunk as hell Click below link for more pictures.

from what i have been told it is a waste of time money and a pain in the ars, unless you have a 1000+ horespower car?

i installed the moser 33 spline axle kit with c-clip elim. and full spool about a month ago. its not that hard to do, but, u do have to grind the crap out of the backing plate behind the brakes. it took me like an hour to grind both sides down but other than that it isn't really that difficult. u do have to cut 1/4" off, but to me it was completely worth it with the intentions i have for the car. most people are so quick to go motor first and then hope everything holds up. i did rear end, suspension and lightening and etc first and the last thing i will do will be motor.
