Hey guys, I am dissasembling an 8.8 out of a 94 GT for the axles and brakes. I have taken out the cross pin in the diff, and can't seem to get the axle to push in far enough to get the c clip past the S spring. I have tapped it with a hammer and it wont go in any further. Anyone else have this problem?

True, the ABS ring doesn't come close to the housing.
You must remove the ABS Sensor before pushing in the axle shaft, otherwise the ABS Ring will contact the ABS sensor, preventing the shaft from being pushed in enough to remove the c clip.

I also have the m2300 kit on my 94 gt.

This may be his problem.

yup totally my problem. I would have bet the house that I had taken them out. I did take them out...out of the front spindles. I had the rear end on saw horses with the diff cover facing up. Couldn't see the sensors...dumb a$$ :nonono:
