The 96 to 01 has a hole in the tube near the MAF opening with a rubber grommet (not the other end where it connects to the TB). This is for the IAT, which, on the 02-04, is integrated into the MAF and therefore not needed (not as a separate piece).

I had to get rid of my C&L intake, it caused my bullitt to shake badly on the highway (this only happened when i gave enough gas to keep the same speed. If i was accelerating the car was fine). It also caused weird idle issues when the car was at a stop.
