Hey fellow Stangers, I was wondering if the C&L MAF Intake is any good? I currently have a AEM Brute Force Intake on my stang and was thinking about swapping it out for the C&L. What do you guys recommend? Is there a C&L MAF Housing that will fit with my AEM Intake? I prefer C&L so keep that in mind.

I have one, but yet to install it b/c I think you need a tune with it. I really dont think its going to give me more than a few hp if that.

I have a Diablo Tuner so if that's needed, then I'm covered. But I think it still uses the stock tune. What gains do you expect from it with a Tuner?

weren't we both? i'd say from a MAF and tune you'd get around 13-18hp

For a second there I thought you meant a MAF with a tuner would net 1-2hp wasn't sure just thought I'd ask. I knew something was off. So you think i should swap for the C&L kit or just the MAF Housing if they have one to fit my AEM Intake?

BTW, my girlfriend decided to get me the Pypes o/r X for Xmas

pypes is a good buy, cheap and stainless steel. I dont like the 3 piece designs anyway.
As for the intake im not sure what you mean. You are thinking of a CAI and MAF or just the MAF?

The CAI and MAF. I was wondering if I should swap the AEM Intake that I have already for C&L kit. Unless C&L makes a mass air (only) that will fit with my AEM Intake.

you have a CAI made by AEM? Why? If you already have the C&L kit go for it, but most MAF's will replace the unit your intake currently bolts onto

Someone told me that the C&L MAF was better than what the AEM has? Not sure though Just thought I'd get opinions on here.

The MAF itself will not make you gain any power. You are no where near your max limit on the stock MAF (i.e. its not a restriction), meaning swaping it out = 0hp.

I have a AEM Intake I was just wondering if the C&L MAF Housing would be compatible with the AEM Intake. Kind of like the MAC Straight Shot system. Thanks for the input though bro.

Im wasted, was gonna say the same thing, than reread the thread!

Fobra- Im a hardcore believer in the stock piping, stock meter, stock tb, etc, with just a kn or the kn kit on the car. Get us some dyno's. I lost power with my aftermarket cold air kit on the dyno so Im curious to see what the results are.

Gotcha, when i ever have the time though. My other pony got into an accident so I'm dealing with that crap now I'll just scratch the mass air meter. Thanks for your input.

oh thought you already had it, was being optimistic. Yeah, a tune alone will net infitiley more power due to it (MAF) giving most likely none

I used to have the C&L setup from MAF to upper Plenum. Don't waste your money!!!
The C&L MAF is Junk...it still uses the old outdated flow tubes to trick the computer instead of doing it in the tune. Also the intake piping would get really hot.
Your stock MAF is fine so no need to touch it until you are supercharged.
And if you want a new CAI get a pastic one like Demolet/JLT or K&N FIPK.

When I bought the car it already had a AEM CAI in it. I wish I had the stock intake, I would of dropped an K&N filter in it. My AEM tube gets pretty hot Thanks for the info on the C&L MAF, I won't get it now.
