C&L MAF sample tube question

So I bought the 73mm c&L MAF and it's supposed to have a purple calibration tube for the 30lb injectors. But I took the sample tube out of the maf, and it's solid aluminum, with a small bit of sharpe marker on the back (kinda looks purple).

Is there supposed to be a plastic insert in the sample tube with the different colors? Or is it just the shade of marker they put on the back of the tube. Pictures attached.

It's just the shade of marker that they put on the aluminum tube.
