C&L mass air meter/tb/pleneum combo

a buddy of mine just installed the c&l mass air meter, 70mm bbk tb and a c&l plenum on his 02 gt. the car is entirely stock with the exceptions of these mods. after the install, the exaust was noticeable louder, the same exaust note/tone, just amplified. is there a problem here? the car runs and drives fine. anyone ever experience this?

Sounds normal, people say intake work changes the exhaust note but I never noticed since I'm always inside the car.

Yup. My exhaust note changed too. Put a C&L 85mm MAF, tru flo pipe, upper intake plenum and Accufab TB in my 02. Get compliments on the exhaust sound. Lower and meaner.

Yes, that is normal. Think about it, you are getting more air into the engine now and thus more out which affects the note. Pretty cool side effect.

How much of an increase did you notice from these mods? You happy with them? Sounds like you have the right combo there.
