c3 auto behind 5.0

hi, will a c3 auto from a 1980 3.3 straight 6 mustang bolt up to a 5.0?..if not what would be neccacary to make it fit TIA

I doubt it will fit, but if it did, I wouldnt run it. iirc it was quite a weak tranny

I wouldn't even dream of putting that thing behind a 5.0. If it does fit and you got it in there you would be redoing all your work shortly after the 5.0 lunches that little C3. My advice is to find a C4 if you don't need the overdrive gear.
