Drivetrain C4 Fun! Reversing While In The Park Position.

Is there a reverse solenoid? Is it getting power?

Sounds like what my C4 has been doing for the last 20 years. When it locks into park it is solidly in park, but a lot of times if you push it up into park it doesn't quite get into park and can - when you let go - slip into reverse. If the car is rolling very slightly when you push it into reverse it will lock in everytime - or even sticking your foot out and rolling the car an inch or 2 while holding the selector in park.

Sorry, I don't have a cause or a solution for you. Well, I guess I do - I just swapped the C4 out for a T5. Problem solved!
