c4 transmission

hi guys i dont post on here much but im putting together a 2.3t in an 80 coupe with a c4 i got a bell housing but no converter or flexplate and not sure what year and model to ask for to get them so i know i get them fo the c4 and not the c5 thanks for any help:)

Punctuation would really help your post out. I am having trouble udnerstanding exactly what you are asking.
First of all, the C4-2.3 was a very rare combination. The only bellhousings available are from the mid 70's pinto. Unless you already came up with one of these, none of your other questions even matter.
For the flexplate and converter, you can use pinto parts. There are still stock style converters and flexplates available from auto parts stores for the pinto models that came with the C4.
As for you C5 commend, I am completly lost. There never was a 2.3-C5 combination... Besides, the C5 is just a C4 with a lock up torque converter. To get a lock up torque converter, you would definatly have to have something custom made if it is even possible.

I would double check to make sure thats actually a 2.3 C4 bellhousing. THEY ARE REALLY HARD TO FIND!!

A convertor is pretty simple. Most people use the smaller convertor (including me) it stalled up pretty good and it came in my pintos already. The 9.5" convertor is also known as the F29 which is part of autozome part number for it.

The flexplate is a different story. Try to find a replacement for a 74 pinto, 2.3 C4. All of mine were 2.0 cars and the bolts in the back of the crank are different.
