CAI Filters

Question:

My stang is making a hissing sound during idle and after I shut the engine off as it winds down I can especially here it. When I put my ear up to the CAI Tube I can hear the hissing. What can cause this? I am assuming that I might need to clean my air filter. (How often should that be cleaned?) Any other suggestions?

That's normal. No need to worry, clean ur filter every six months or so, depends on the driving conditions.

yea, but it just started doing this and I have has the CAI on for over 1.5 years

my homebrew CAI on the firebird would make a hissing noise, but it did it from the beggining and only when it was relatively cold outside ~65-70°
