Help please

I built a cold air intake for my 93 lx and did everything like this link said and everything is good except when i turned on the car i get the check engine light even though i have both sensors plugged in, and when i ran the car it struggled and stalled, when i unplugged the MAF the car ran fine, but sometimes it feels like it struggles (getting on 1st gear) even though i do get more power from the cone filter.

I'm sure someting is not hooked up right etc. Did you plug up the vaccum lines from the old airbox? Make sure all hose clamps are good and tight, believe me its could be the easy stuff messing you up

on the link i clicked i don't think it eve mentioned the vacum lines, lol
they are just hanging there, i should plug the vacum lines to the cai pipe ?
also what is it w/the MAF sensor, if i plug it in the car stalls and the light remains w/it off or on

Crap my Pc locked up and double my post

Anyways there should be a real small vaccum line that you just need to put a small screw in it to clog it up. As for the MAF, its something that you do need and I'm amazed the car runs without it I would plug it in and make sure both hoses attaching to it is clamped off good. Also make sure you made a gasket for the MAF and ACT sensor.

Tomorrow i'll take a pic of it and post it and u'll see that what i'm saying is exactly what u told me to do and it stalls! i hate my car today !

since you said it has a MAF, you have to make sure the vacuum lines are all hooked up, the MAF is inline with the intake, and the ACT (air charge temperature) sensor is plugged in.

So i can put a screw in the vacum line and when i plug everything is it should run fine?

sensors ?

Does it matter if the MAF is before or after the ACT sensor? And also do the have to be lined up ??

The ACT sensor I believe needs to be between the filter and MAF. Here is a link to some of my pics I think its like the last pic that shwo some of my CAI with the ACT sensor.

well i changed evrything around, i put the sensore in line and everything is good, thanks a lot for the help guys

What kind of speed and power increase did you notice? Considerable, or moderate?

Great, welcome to the wonderful world of moding a car out

(I noticed more high RPMs then anything else, not any noticable power gains)

i feel more torque and i love the nice thoatier sound it gives!

next up dual exhaust !!
