I'm pretty sure that 03's should fit the same as 04's, call the manufacturer on that one. If I had to get a CAI i'd get the ones from demolet motrsports they are not all shiny and chrome but they are priced well and post decent power gains from their claims. But in general CAI don't do alot for stangs very minimal gains. If your looking to go faster I'd look at the tried and true bolt ons or semi bolt ons. Gears 3.73's if your going with a power adder 4.10's N/A, catback, x-pipe, LT headers, even pullies. I would just get a drop in K&N and pull the air silencer. Most of the guys I've met and who are on here going fast don't bother CAI they make minimal hp. Just a thought hope that helps.

dont waste your money on a CAI. doesn't do much for the mustang. Imports yes.
Save your money and get an after market MAF. or start doing your exhaust first.

Sorry for the dumb question, but what is a MAF (more or less what does it stand for) and what does it do. I'll probably once you tell me cuz I'm sure I should know. Anyways, where can I get a good one?

Thanks
Matt

Click to expand...

MAF = mass air flow

CAI = cold air induction

Thanks, thats what I thought!

Ok, so where can I get a good one for a good price. I've 290 bux coming from a laptop I sold and I would like to beable to get a K&N filter with this money and a MAF if possible(not sure it is with the prices I've seen so far). Assuming that is gonna give me more gain then a CAI!

Any info is appreciated!

is it possible to just buy the maf.. i just bought a new K&N filter and don't think it'd be worth it to buy the whole kit.

this lists the part as coming with a 95mm MAF......can that work on a stock car with stock 19lb injectors? i thought that the two didnt work together

what kind of K&N did you get?? if it fits your stock area it won't fit your aftermarket MAF. You need the 9inch cone design..

order from here. freeshipping and great service...

are you happy ron!!? lol

CAI probably will net you around 1rwhp gain. not worth it..

as for the C&L MAF it's designed to trick your computer into thinking there is less air coming thus leans out the car and bigger HP gains. C&L dynos with MAF and trueflow pipes net around 8-10rwhp. 1rwhp coming from the trueflow pipe. so you can see why MAF is way more worth it then a crummy CAI..

MAF's are not needed with a N/A car! thee is no way you'll peg the stock one with all the external bolt ons. If you must get a CAI, then get a FIPK. It is probably the best out there. Then when you are making about 310RWHP, get a shorty 80mm Pro-M for the FIPK inlet tube and a dyno tune. I wouldn't do it any other way!
