Anyone running a CAI without a tune? I know the C&L has a no-tune option available. While I understand the HP increase is much less than with the programming it is a bit more affordable. Just wondering what you guys thought.

Are you happy with it? Any noticeable HP?

yeah it was a big difference at the time, then i went to ud pulleys, 373's exhaust and a tune..yeah its a good part of the package. But i think now that i have a tuner can i get better out of a bigger one?..

and they say its between 5 and 15...but it did make a difference.

We install a lot of CAI on 05-07 GT and we have found that Airaid C&L K&N and Western Motorsports have option for "no tuner" but to be honest you are most defiantly not getting the full potential out of the CAI and consider a bigger T.B. while you are at it , it will really wake the car up.

CAI solo is a good lil 10-15 HP.. Problem is that its so restrictive...

If you save up some more, I think you would be MUCH happier with the CAI+Tune...

Not only are you getting the big HP gains from the larger CAI intake, but the transmission settings are almost worth it alone..

Save for the combo pack.. Totally worth your while..

Plus, a tune eliminates the notorious throttle lag that infects all S197's, and this wakes it up even at part throttle.

I have the BBK on my 07 GT. I haven't had it on a dyno, but it feels a little faster and sounds pretty cool. I thought about getting one with a tune, but I bought one second hand to use for right now before I go to forced induction.
